Facebook Helps You Find Your Polling Place
Facebook has once again teamed up with app developer Involver to release the Facebook Polling Place Locator on the U.S. Politics Facebook Page as part of the Voting Information Project.Application users can input their registered home address to find their polling place for election day on November 2. The map-based results are pulled from Google's polling place locator. There's nothing all that impressive about the application and it currently seems to be experiencing a few bugs, but we appreciate Facebook's attempt to eliminate friction from the voting experience and encourage members to get out and vote.In addition, mobile users can also try the Pew Center's HTML5-optimized mobile site to locate their polling place while on the go. It also hails from the Voting Information Project and provides users with official data from each state.[via All Facebook]Image courtesy of Flickr, mandemonium
